On 30 July 2024, SPII had the pleasure of hosting a group of people from Trenord, Trenitalia and ATM, organized with the Cra association โ FNM Railway Culture section. Among the guests:
- Emanuel De Santis, Line coordinator at Trenord
- Andrea Binelli, Train driver at Trenord
- Cesar Cubillos Beltran, Engineer at Trenord
- Mariarosa Cefaloni, Engineer at Trenord
- Alessandro Borselli, Engineer at Trenord
- Luisa Foroni, Train Conductor at Trenitalia
- Luca Cesana, Train driver at Trenitalia
- Francesco Lietti, Train driver at Trenitalia
- Mattia Roselli, Train driver at ATM
Welcoming them were our CEO Silvio Zuffetti and colleagues Federica Formato, Fabio Noseda, Andrea Bertazzoni and Giovanni Salati, who welcomed them and briefly introduced the company.

During the presentation, the history of SPII and the technological innovation of our products were illustrated. The visit represented an important opportunity for discussion and collaboration, focused on technical innovations related to the handles of the master controllers.
After the presentation, our welcome guests had the opportunity to visit our exhibition hall and production plant in Saronno.
During the tour, they were able to closely observe the various stages of production, from design to component manufacturing. The visit then continued in the testing room, where quality and safety tests are carried out on the finished products.

Afterwards, visitors had the opportunity to try the prototypes of the new master controller handles, designed by our design team, represented by Andrea Bertazzoni. Thanks to this moment, valuable feedback emerged for improving the design and functionality.

The day ended with a coffee break, during which the participants were able to exchange impressions on the experience and the visit, encouraging further discussions and food for thought. We thank all the participants for their interest and availability.

For us this meeting represents one of the fundamental stages in pursuing our vision: designing our products starting from the real needs of users.
See you next time,
Simona Gianoli
